FAQ of CangrejoMail

1. What is CangrejoMail ?

CangrejoMail is a modified version of the popular free-source webmail SquirrelMail. It has been adapted to work with full support of custom styles sheets (CSS), so this way, you can change the entire interface of SquirrelMail only selecting a style sheet from the Options menu.

2. What is the intention of CangrejoMail ?

The goal of CangrejoMail is to spice up the great work of SquirrelMail by adding some life to the interface. In the official release it has very poor themes and styles and that's one of the reasons that some people don't want to use it.

3. Ok, it has support for CSS, but what about compatibility ?

CangrejoMail was tested on Firefox 2.0, Safari 2 and IE versions 6 and 5.5. While i'll keep testing in those browsers, we invite user to share their experiences with other browsers by creating ticket throught the menu bar.

4. What about new version of SquirrelMail?

CangrejoMail team will try to update it as fast as they can on new releases of SquirrelMail.

5. What kind of license has CangrejoMail?

CangrejoMail has the same license of SquirrelMail.

6. How themes work?

The themes are divided in 2 parts. One part are themes for the login page, error page and logout page. The other part is the theme that is displayed when the user is authenticated and can check his mails. This way you can have a login theme for i.e: your company and then once authenticated, users can change their theme for one of their choise.
